How to measure
Measure barefoot, over underwear like she will wear with the dress – not over other clothes.
- Chest – arms relaxed at her sides, measure around the fullest part of the chest.
- Waist – around the natural waist, the narrowest part.
- Hips – standing straight with feet together, around the fullest part of the hips.
- Hollow to floor – from the hollow between the collarbones straight down to the floor.

Every Cute Angel dress is made to order by professional dressmakers, with beading, embroidery and appliques sewn by hand.
Fine materials
Every bead, pearl, fabric and thread is chosen with care, for vibrant colours, a beautiful sheen and rich textures.
Hand beading
Beading on the sleeves, bodice or skirt is sewn on by hand: our dressmakers spend hours on every bead and pearl.
Hand embroidery
All embroidery on our dresses is done by hand, never printed by machine.
Hand ruching
Ruching isn’t just decoration: it shapes a flattering silhouette. Our tailors do it all by hand for the right shape and fullness.
Lining and boning
Every dress is fully lined and structured to hold its shape. Full skirts have a firm net lining under a soft layer that feels gentle on the skin.
Can I see fabric swatches?
Yes. We have small samples of many fabrics and petals and are happy to post them to you – you just pay the postage. Not every dress has a swatch, so please contact us first to check.
What shade is your ivory?
Our ivory is the soft bridal ivory (often called candlelight or soft ivory), not the darker, yellowish ivory of some pageant dresses. To be sure, order a swatch or ask us about the dress you like.
Can the flowers at the waist be taken off?
Check the dress description: flowers described as pin-on or removable come off easily, and attached ones can usually be removed too, though you may want to cover the spot. Ask us about any dress.
Why are your prices lower than wedding shops?
We buy direct from the factory and sell online from our own warehouse, with no shop overheads to pass on – so you get a better price.
Do I need a petticoat, and how do I make the skirt fuller?
Almost all our dresses have a crinoline built into the skirt, and all are fully lined, so nothing scratchy touches your child’s skin. For more volume, gently pull the netting apart and scrunch it in your hand – the more you work it, the fuller it gets. If your child is sensitive to fancy fabrics, a thin cotton vest underneath helps.
How do I care for the dress?
Iron slowly on a low heat: the lowest setting for tulle and organza, a medium setting (3–4) for satin. Dry clean only, unless the label says 100% cotton – washing by hand can shrink or warp the dress.
Are your jewellery and accessories lead-free?
Yes. All our products are lead-free and meet US regulations for children’s product safety.
Are your items always available?
We try to keep everything available, but stock changes with the seasons. If you’re unsure about an item, email us and we’ll check straight away.
How long before the big day should I order?
As soon as you have found the dress: children rarely change size much in a month or two. Allow 4–9 days for making plus shipping, and remember Easter, summer and holiday dresses sell quickly.
Can I order several dresses to try on and return?
We prefer not to, as it keeps dresses from other customers. Our seamstress will gladly help you choose the size instead: email us your child’s age, chest, waist and shoulder-to-floor measurements and the date of the occasion.

This was a stunning dress for my daughter’s first communion. We received so many compliments. My daughter is very thin and I loved that you could cinch the waist with the sash to her size. It would cause the under layer to fold onto itself, but that was not noticeable with the lace. I was also impressed that the decoration on the back never came unhooked. I would absolutely recommend as it was a complete steal for the price.
